Why Mountain Health Clinic (MHC)?

Welcome to Mountain Health Clinic. We combine our innovative research with a compassionate, human touch that honors your personal cancer experience.

MHC-affiliated oncologists work at the vanguard of cancer research. They work in nationally-renowned laboratories and clinical trial research programs studying early detection and novel treatment options for people with cancer.

MHC connects cancer patients with drugs in different phases of clinical trials. We assist researchers in identifying clinical trial candidates to put their new drugs to the test. For patients, we make it easy to enroll in potentially life-saving trials.

Everyone’s cancer journey is different. Our specialists focus on bringing you tailored clinical treatment and holistic, personalized care, all according to your needs.

Starting Your Care with Mountain Health

Mountain Health Clinic specializes in treating cancers with chemotherapy, hormone therapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy.
For patients who need radiation treatment or surgery prior to starting medical treatment, our oncology team will coordinate your care with your local hospital or Boston’s world-renowned care centers.
Once you have completed radiation or surgery, you will be able to start your treatment at Mountain Health. Our care continuation includes periodic biomarker testing, medication therapy management, and recurrence prevention strategies.

Our Online Services

We offer a range of online telehealth services to make it as convenient as possible for you to get expert care without having to travel to Boston.

When you’re ready to begin treatment with Mountain Health Clinic, our oncologists will review your medical records and schedule a 30-minute video teleconference to review your history and treatment options.

For patients who want a second opinion, Mountain Health Clinic can provide second opinions from experts in every oncology specialty within two weeks.

Due to regulatory constraints, we cannot provide online second opinions to patients in the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Connecticut, Iowa, Maine, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, and Wyoming.

If you live in one of these states and would like to schedule an in-person appointment at Mountain Health Clinic, please contact us directly.

Types of Therapies

At Mountain Health Clinic, your treatment plan will be decided by our physicians’ expert evaluation.
If your condition can be treated with an approved standard therapy, you will receive that treatment.
If there are no appropriate standard therapies available for your condition, you will be evaluated as a candidate for a randomized clinical trial.
If there are no randomized clinical trials available for your condition, we will connect you with an expert physician who will provide care informed with real-world experience.
No matter where your journey takes you, you will be enrolled in our online PracticeSuite so you can have a say in your healthcare decisions.

Real World Evidence

For patients who cannot be treated under standard therapies or randomized clinical trials, Mountain Health Clinic provides care using real-world evidence.
In 2016, the United States passed the 21st Century Cures Act, requiring the FDA to expand the role of real-world evidence. Real world evidence comes from real world data gathered from patients outside the context of randomized controlled trials or data generated from routine clinical practice.
Mountain Health Clinic creates channels for patients to receive better treatment options that might not otherwise be available to them by connecting patients with pharmaceutical manufacturers, sponsors, and physicians who can provide care using the Named Patient Program. Mountain Health Clinic can also provide retrospective and prospective observational studies so your care team can gauge the potential benefits and risks of a drug acquired outside the traditional route of clinical trials.
Mountain Health Clinic has collaborative care agreements with expert physicians in the United States and medical experts around the world. Our mission is to expand quality care and help patients who could not get confirmed diagnoses or do not have access to treatment.

Personal Support

Our oncology team provides more than quality medical care. They also provide a wide range of services for patients and their families, including financial aid, logistical support, and referrals.
With Mountain Health, we hope you will feel supported by our network.
